Mid-Year Milestones & Approaching Year-End
On behalf of the leadership of Palmyra Church of the Brethren, we want to thank you for your generous donations so far this year. Currently, we are at the halfway point of the financial year. Your gifts have allowed our church and ministries to thrive.
Our mission continues to build our internal ministries while also expanding our reach to the wider community. This vital work would not be possible without your faithful partnership. Because of your compassion, we have been able to accomplish many exciting enhancements to our ministries:
Vibrant community-wide impact, fellowship, and participation for Unity in Action. This outreach was made possible by our dedicated, hardworking ministry leaders. We brought diverse groups together, built lasting relationships, and met tangible community needs through hands-on service.
Continued growth in our Sunday School Programs across all generations. Your giving allowed us to expand tailored curriculum and safe spaces for Children, Youth, Young Adults, and Adults. This includes our vital J.O.Y. Class. These groups continue to model deep spiritual fellowship, intentional prayer, and inclusive love for all members.
Meaningful Worship series that challenged, comforted, and transformed us. Together, we explored profound spiritual truths through intentional sermon series like "Finding Jesus: Practicing Love Together," "The Questions Jesus Asks," "Quest: The Awakened Traveler," and "Holding Fast & Letting Go." These services created holy spaces for deep reflection and collective healing.
In addition, we have been able to accomplish many exciting enhancements to our church campus:
Advanced Wi-Fi Infrastructure: We successfully modernized our historic concrete building into a fully connected hub for modern ministry by wiring every room. This strategic upgrade lays a permanent digital foundation for our church’s future, ensuring we can connect with the next generation.
Creating a dedicated outdoor green space, designed for fellowship, reflection, and prayer. It will provide a peaceful setting for outdoor ministry events and a welcoming space that invites neighbors onto our campus.
We revitalized our parking lot to ensure safer, more accessible, and more welcoming entry points for everyone. New structural curbing was installed at two key locations near the west entrance. This project improves traffic management and ensures a positive first impression for visitors.
As we look ahead, the second half of our financial year brings both great opportunity and specific responsibilities. To fully fund these completed projects and sustain our daily community outreach, we must now focus on closing our remaining budgetary gap. While our mid-year progress is strong, our seasonal expenses traditionally rise as year-end approaches.
Continued funding for the year requires a collective effort to ensure adequate financial coverage for our church’s needs. We kindly ask you to prayerfully consider making an additional contribution to help us bridge this gap and finish the year on a firm financial foundation.
