Gifts & Discernment Team: Discerning the Gifts Among Us
Have you ever wondered what gifts you have to share with our church? Maybe you are not sure what your gifts are. Maybe your gift is making people feel welcome—or making a really good pot of soup! Our Gifts Discernment Team wants to help us discover the many gifts, skills, interests, and life experiences that God has placed in the Palmyra Church of the Brethren family.
This is not a test, and it is not about finding people to fill church jobs. It is simply a chance to learn more about one another and the many ways God has blessed our community of faith. In the coming months, one of our trained listeners will contact you and invite you to a friendly conversation. You will be invited to share a little about your faith journey, your work and life experiences, your hobbies, your skills, and the ways you like to help others. You will not be asked to sign up for a committee—or take a pop quiz on the Bible!
This is a chance to tell your story, listen to one another, and celebrate the gifts God has given us. Even in a time of staff changes, the gifts in our church family are still here.
