Pastor
of Christian Nurture and Interim Coordinating Pastor

Rev. Dennis M. Lohr
grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia before attending
Bridgewater College where he received his baccalaureate degree
in Philosophy and Religion. After his undergraduate program, he
went on to pursue his Master of Divinity at Bethany Theological
Seminary. Rev. Lohr joins the Palmyra congregation after two previous
appointments to ministry at the Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren
near Staunton, VA, and the Easton Church of the Brethren, Easton,
MD. Rev. Lohr has served as Palmyra's Pastor of Christian Nurture
since 1996, overseeing the Christian Education Program and also
the Young Adult, Youth and Children's Programs. Additionally,
he assists with the preaching and worship ministries. Rev. Lohr
makes his home in Palmyra with his lovely wife, Sally, and four
children, Tim, Adam, Noah and Joel.

of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity,
to the measure of the full stature of Christ."

of Visitation

Rev. Carol Cave Dubble
has served as the Pastor of Visitation since 1997. She grew up
in the nearby Hanoverdale Church of the Brethren. After her graduation
from Elizabethtown College, she went on to teach elementary school
and remedial reading for fifteen years. She later continued her
education at the Lutheran Seminary at Gettysburg where she received
a Master of Arts degree in New Testament Studies. Carol has served
as a Christian Education Consultant and led teacher training workshops
in various churches throughout Pennsylvania. She also presently
serves with her husband, Kirby, in team ministry at the Mt. Wilson
Church of the Brethren. She and her husband serve as co-coordinators
for marriage enrichment retreats and workshops for the Atlantic
Northeast District of the Church of the Brethren. She has one
son and three grandchildren. Her personal hobbies include reading
(especially Civil War literature), counted cross-stitch, and traveling;
and she is an avid golf and college basketball fan.

another; that weeps with those who weep; that rejoices with those
who rejoice; that bears one another's burdens. |
